Job summary

Windsor Healthcare Recruitment Group, Inc. is seeking a local contract Pharmacist Manager for a local contract job in Newport, Oregon. The role requires maintaining management controls to ensure quality service delivery by Pharmacy staff.

The manager will plan, organize, direct and evaluate department activities, dispense medications, assess patient status and educate patients. The position is 40 hours per week, days shift, for 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• Oregon Pharmacist licensure is required.
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency preferred or ASHP residency with pharmacist experience.
• Pharmacist experience (minimum 1 year) acceptable with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise pharmacy department operations, planning, organizing, directing and evaluating activities and costs.
• Prepare and dispense medications and assess patient clinical status; provide drug information to medical team.
• Educate patients and collaborate with the health care team to optimize drug therapy.
