Job summary

Tampa General Hospital's InterHealth Staffing division seeks a Contract Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role includes circulating or scrub duties in perioperative services, with 13–26 week contract options and potential path to permanent employment.

Requirements: Florida RN licensure, BLS (AHA), BSN, and two years perioperative experience; neurosurgical/orthopedic experience preferred; robotic experience strongly preferred. Day shift; full weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.
• Two years perioperative RN experience required.
• Scrub experience strongly preferred.
• Neurosurgical experience required.
• Orthopedic experience required.
• Robotic experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the OR and perioperative services.
• Function as circulating or scrub nurse during operative procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Follow mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and participate in quality improvement.
• Assist in robotic and general surgery cases.
