Job summary

Woofie's of Annapolis is seeking experienced pet care providers in Annapolis to walk dogs and care for cats and small pets on a flexible, independent contractor basis. You choose visits that fit your schedule—mornings, mid-day, evenings, weekends, or overnight stays—and you'll be paid per visit according to a set fee schedule.

This role is ideal for students, freelancers, retirees, or anyone who loves animals and wants steady, rewarding work with a locally trusted company.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Annapolis (21401/21403) and have experience caring for dogs, cats and small pets.
• 18+ with valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and smartphone.
• Background check is part of our safety standards.
• Journal writing after each pet visit is required.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs and care for pets with reliability and attentiveness.
• Provide feeding, fresh water, and administer medications when requested by client.
• Share written journal updates and photos with clients via a smartphone app.
• Follow client instructions for care, supplies and medical needs.
• Maintain independent contractor status and professional conduct.

• Woofie's of Annapolis is contracting with experienced, qualified independent pet care providers for dog walking and pet sitting services in the Annapolis area. This is an independent contractor engagement (rather than an employment position) and is a flexible, rewarding way to earn income while spending time with animals.
• This opportunity is often a good fit for college students, stay-at-home parents, freelancers, active retirees, or anyone who already has experience caring for pets and has availability to provide pet sitting and dog walking services to new clients.
• Applicants must reside in Annapolis (21401 or 21403 zip codes) to be considered. Please note that detailed journal writing is a required part of every pet visit. keep this in mind when completing the evaluation questions for your application, as all responses are carefully reviewed by the owner and General Manager.

What We're Looking For:

• Must live in Annapolis or the immediate surrounding area
• Must be experienced and qualified in caring for dogs, cats and small pets
• Availability that includes early morning (8 am to 10 am), mid-day (12 noon to 2 pm) and/or afternoon (4 pm to 6 pm) visit windows - we'll discuss which visits fit your availability during the interview
• Able to walk pets for up to one-hour per visit
• 18+ with valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and smartphone
• Responsible, reliable, and friendly
• Independent contractors are responsible for their own professional development and any certifications they choose to maintain, including CPR/First Aid
• A background check is completed as part of our client safety standards; we'll go over the details during the interview

Independent contractors provide services under their own name or business, set their own availability, are responsible for their own taxes, and are not employees of Woofie's of Annapolis.
