Job summary

Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. seeks a motivated Nurse Practitioner for up to 25 hours per week in New Orleans inpatient programs.

The NP will provide client-focused health services, work with a multidisciplinary team, maintain nursing standards, and manage withdrawal symptoms with comprehensive triage and care orders. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing Science.
• Active LA NP license with prescriptive authority.
• Current good standing with National Certifying Board.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience.
• At least 1 year of Electronic Health Records experience.
• CPR certification.
• Proficient in MS Office 365.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct H&Ps and intake assessments for inpatient clients.
• Support medical documentation and reporting of abuse and neglect.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy compliance.
• Participate in monthly One on One meetings and in-services.
• Assist in maintaining client census and movement through the program.
• Complete incident reports and log to Program Manager and Director.
• Safely administer medications as ordered using MAR.
• Manage patient pharmacy orders and MAR entries.
• Coordinate care with MDT and care team to ensure timely patient management.
• Provide ongoing assessment of acute medical/nursing needs and refer residents to treatment centers.
