Job description

Performs duties involved with the treatment, management control, and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist through the National Board for Respiratory Care. If credentialed after 2002, must maintain active membership status for credentials issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • ACLS and PALS are preferred.
  • NRP certification for those qualified to work in the NICU.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints.
  • Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
