Job summary

Access Medical Clinics seeks a Medical Director and Physician to provide clinical leadership and oversight for medical care services within a long-term care facility. You will collaborate with administration, nursing leadership, and attending providers to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care in line with CMS and LTC regulations.

The role is contract-based with a monthly stipend plus a pay-per-visit model.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active state medical license
• Board certification in geriatric, family or internal medicine
• Experience in geriatrics, post-acute, or long-term care
• Knowledge of CMS and LTC regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for medical care services within the long-term care facility
• Collaborate with administration, nursing leadership, and attending providers to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and drive quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in QAPI and leadership activities as needed

The Medical Director collaborates with administration, nursing leadership, and attending providers to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care consistent with federal and state regulations.

Typical Time Commitment

• 4 hours per month per facility for administrative duties
• On-site presence expectations once weekly for rounding on acute care and long-term care patients. Approx. 2 hours per week.
