Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist for a Temporary Contract (3–4 months) in Chicago. The role supports the Marketing and Communications team with digital initiatives, member communications, email campaigns, website content, and reporting while colleagues are on leave.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can learn existing processes, manage deadlines, and collaborate across departments, especially in educational or member-focused marketing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of digital marketing, email marketing or communications experience.
• Experience in an association, nonprofit, or membership environment is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to create email campaigns and digital communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule, test, and launch email marketing campaigns.
• Draft and edit compelling marketing copy while maintaining brand voice.
• Manage email lists, segmentation, CRM data, and automated communications.
• Track campaign results and compile performance reports.
• Update website content and publish digital materials.
• Review emails and pages for accuracy and quality before launch.
• Collaborate with departments to keep projects on schedule.
• Support communications for educational offerings, events, and membership initiatives.
• Assist with surveys and reporting; create basic graphics as needed.
• Maintain marketing calendars and juggle multiple deadlines.
