HCLTech is looking for a seasoned Contract Manager to lead the execution of complex contracts within the Global Supply Management department. You will oversee contracts in IT, Enterprise services, and MRO operations, managing a remote team of over 25.
This role requires a minimum of 10 years of Indirect Procurement experience and offers a salary range of $140,000 to $170,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plans.
The Global Supply Management ("GSM") Global Supply Chain ("GSC") Indirect Global Procurement ("IGP") organization seeks to leverage support for Services, working closely with IGP team and as applicable, other Functional Owners including but not limited to Business Owners, Business Owner's End Users as applicable), Suppliers, IGP, Accounting GSS, GSM COE, Legal, Privacy, Insurance, Cyber Security, Finance, and others. The role includes:
Contract Evaluation, Creation, Negotiation, Execution: Lead Execution of the life cycle of complex contracts, from creation to closure through the coordination of resources and processes necessary for the control and mitigation of business and other risks in partnership with relevant internal Business Owners, Functional Owners and Others as well as vendors. Create and draft contracts, in legal language as required, by gathering and vetting required inputs including but not limited to business and legal terms from business and functional owners. Facilitate, support, broker, and/or lead contract negotiations on behalf of and in partnership with Business Owners and vendors as key point of contact. Ensure timely review/ approval/ signature and detailed tracking/ approval of variations. Vet, organize, prioritize, and package contracts, calling out recommendations to Business Owners, Legal, and where applicable, strategic sourcing, to craft a final contract deliverable.
Contract Management: Support Procurement Category Leader’s Assessment of upcoming renewals and new requests to determine if Strategic Sourcing will be involved for vendor selection/ key price negotiation/ other. Execute routing/assessment of inbound passive requests as well as active outbound contract related requests such as renewals reminders. Train others on Contract Management best practice as needed. Lead departmental contract status/tracking meetings with Business Owners, Finance, and/or others as requested. Issue proactive reminders to support Business Owner and/other accountable parties of need to perform contract activities and fulfill contractual obligations throughout the contract term. Contract activities include but are not limited to audits, certifications, quarterly business reviews, service level agreement performance reporting, notices of termination, assignment, renewal, and others, strategic sourcing activities such as price benchmark and request for proposal preparation.
Contract Operations: Execute tactical Day-to-Day Tactical Activities including but not limited to contract approval/ approval prep/ follow up, contract signature/ execution facilitation/ other. Design, track, generate, validate, update data across various systems.
Contract Tracker(s)/Systems: Data Maintenance/QC/Reconciliation/Reporting-Validate and quality control check data relating to contracts including but not limited to renewals. Maintain and support design of tracker(s) to enable active contract management and connect request intake/routing (Case Management Tool; CMT and other inputs) and contract lifecycle management (Icertis) systems as well as other integrations to determine which contacts are expiring, required notice, payment terms before/after, research "contract ID reference" to identify which contract is being renewed. Run reports using accurate data. Tie reports to Spend and other metrics.
Other: Execute, support and lead Contract Management Team through contract review, approval, detailed/ tactical tracking and administration while enhancing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for and delivering Reports. Key Job Responsibilities are subject to change. Role may include additional duties as assigned, as well as ad hoc requests.
Short Job Description:
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 10+ years Contract Management experience with global, complex, strategic initiatives/ corporate environment required. Procurement preferred. Management consulting background preferred.
CATEGORY EXPERIENCE: 5+ years (3 years in IT Software required, 3 years in Professional Services/Labor required. Other Categories welcome.)
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 3+ Years
EDUCATION: JD highly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Legal, Other Quantitative or Qualitative discipline.
COMPUTER: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Expert Proficiency Required; CLM (Contract Lifecycle Mgmt)/ Case Mgmt Preferred
WORKING HOURS: 8:00am to 5:30pm (EST)
Pay Range Minimum: $140,000.00 per year (or $67.31 per hour)
Pay Range Maximum: $170,000 per year (or $81.73 per hour)

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
