Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with 1+ year of experience for a contract role in Salem, Virginia. This on-site position focuses on prescription processing, insurance verification, and patient support in a mail-order setting.

The role requires a Virginia license and current PTCB certification. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM for 13 weeks, with a structured environment emphasizing accuracy, compliance, and patient health outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience, preferably mail order or retail.
• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license and current PTCB certification.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot insurance adjudication and NDC changes.

Responsibilities

• Interpret sig codes, select products, and process prescription refills with precision.
• Conduct data entry, insurance verification, and resolve rejections to ensure seamless processing.
• Prepare, label, and package medications in compliance with standards for pharmacist approval.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and manage medication returns.
• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls and prescriber requests professionally, maintaining confidentiality.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and organizational protocols to protect patient information.
