Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room, LOA, admissions, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely according to facility policy.
• Receives and transcribes physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
