Qualifications

• Active Texas LVN license in good standing required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to pass a strict background check.
• 1 year of experience in corrections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report abnormalities to RNs or medical providers.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments.
• Support mobility, hygiene, and ADLs as needed.
• Conduct health screenings and collect medical history.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Maintain infection control and a clean environment.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate care.
• Document care activities accurately in medical records.
• Maintain accurate medical records per facility guidelines.
