Contract Licensed Vocational Nurse, L.V.N PM Shift

Position Overview

The LVN will provide nursing care within the scope of practice to meet patients' needs, following standards of practice, physician orders, center policies, and applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities

1. Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
2. Participate in and assist with the implementation of the Quality Improvement Program.
3. Use the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
4. Notify other departments of patient changes, such as room changes, LOA, new admits, and discharges.
5. Conduct family and patient education.
6. Administer medications and treatments timely and according to facility policy.
7. Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if permitted by Nurse Practice Act.
8. Make rounds with physicians as necessary.

Qualifications

1. Currently licensed as an LVN in California.
2. One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
3. Experience in SNF/LTC settings preferred.
