The Work
Position: F-35B Contractor Instructor Pilot (CIP). Responsible for Pilot Training Center Operations supporting the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in Nyutabaru, Japan. Collaborate with Lockheed Martin and JASDF teams to meet training objectives. Support pilot training using the F-35 Full Mission Simulator, operate Instructor Operating Station, and support courseware updates. Maintain a Secret security clearance and SAP access. Requires an appropriate degree or equivalent experience, with additional duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide academic training via Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and Interactive Courseware (ICW).
• Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies.
• Follow site security and access control procedures.
• Interact with diverse functional areas and personnel.
• Instruct pilots in ground school and flight procedures, prepare lesson plans.
• Maintain training records, ensure standards and objectives are met.
• Evaluate students’ performance.

This position offers a long-term deployment supporting JASDF in Nyutabaru, Japan. Sign-on bonus eligible.
