Job summary

PrimeForge Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team in Washington. The role focuses on identifying security threats, conducting audits, and developing robust security controls to protect critical systems.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in information security, strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning tools, and familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in information security analysis or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security technologies.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, or ISO 27001.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement effective security protocols and procedures.
• Monitor network activity for any suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis when necessary.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest information security trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Train employees on proper security protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure overall network security.
