Job Details

Position: Maintenance Worker - Coastal Division
Type: Contract (employed through a third-party vendor, no county benefits)
Location: Various coastal locations in Volusia County
Shift: Ranges from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM, including weekends and holidays

Major Functions

• Operate tools and equipment for park maintenance, including debris removal, restroom cleaning, trash collection, and minor repairs.
• Use UTVs and light equipment such as blowers, sweepers, and pressure washers.
• Perform general maintenance tasks and assist in field maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency situations and adhere to safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of maintenance tools and safety precautions.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Ada Requirements

Must have the ability to see, hear, lift up to 75 pounds, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
