Job summary

Curtiss-Wright DS, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Temporary Assembly Technician to assemble and test electronic products with both hardware and software components. You will follow detailed Work Instructions, inspect components, and collaborate with engineers to ensure quality.

This role requires manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. The position may require overtime and is based at PacStar OPS Center in Portland.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics.
• Ability to build cables, connectors, and simple electronics assemblies from sketches.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work with engineers and in a team environment.
• Experience with basic electrical/mechanical assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and tests electronic products with hardware and software systems.
• Follows operation methods sheets to build products and minimize errors.
• Inspects components and subassemblies to specified criteria for quality.
• Reads prints and wiring diagrams to perform assembly tasks.
• May work in other work centers and support functions as needed.
• Pre-tests equipment before assembly; cycles equipment through tests.
