Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking E&I Inspectors for contract work across the United States. These roles are not full-time; assignments vary in duration and location. Contractors sign 1099/sub-contractor agreements and are paid hourly.

Responsibilities include on-site inspections, testing of electrical systems, documenting NCRs, and verifying NEC/IEC compliance.

Qualified candidates have five years of experience with electrical/instrumentation inspection and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical/instrumentation inspection and surveillance.
• Certifications such as AEI/IAEI/CEI/CompEx are preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEC and safety standards for electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical/instrumentation installations meet NEC/IEC codes and safety standards by on-site inspections and testing.
• Verify installation of electrical components and instruments.
• Witness continuity, insulation resistance, and functional tests; document NCRs.
