Contract Destiny Senior Community Manager

As part of Bungie’s Community Management team, the Contract Senior Community Manager helps build relationships between community members and Bungie’s development teams. The role supports community engagement, manages communication channels, and facilitates feedback to inform game development.

Estimated Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities
  • Partner with developers to improve player experience and respond to feedback.
  • Manage and mentor community team members.
  • Identify and address player-facing issues with Technical Community Managers.
  • Coordinate community feedback during development playtests.
  • Support the release of Destiny marketing assets and campaigns.
  • Work with localization teams on content translation and quality control.
  • Support regional projects and activations.
  • Represent the player base internally and provide community insights.
  • Report on community sentiment and conversations.
  • Organize player feedback for internal use.
  • Identify and collaborate with community leaders.
  • Draft communications to inform and engage the community.
  • Develop community campaigns and activations.
  • Foster collaborations between different gaming communities under Bungie.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years managing passionate gaming communities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading or managing teams.
  • Flexible scheduling for international collaboration.
  • Strong online interaction skills and data-informed reporting abilities.
  • Proven enthusiasm for managing live game communities.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Writing.
  • Familiarity with the gaming industry, especially live service, MMO, FPS genres.
  • Knowledge of the Destiny community.
  • Understanding of console and PC gaming communities.
  • Familiarity with Bungie’s history and projects.

Salary range in the Seattle area: $95,000 — $117,000 USD. Remote location adjustments possible. Bungie encourages diverse applicants and provides flexible work arrangements.
