Job summary

Neal R. Gross and Co. is seeking experienced Court Reporters for in-person assignments across the local area.

You will visit client sites, operate court reporting equipment, and capture verbatim records of proceedings, depositions, and hearings. Candidates must have 1+ year of court reporting experience, own equipment, and the ability to pass security screening for access to government buildings. Strong English, reliability, and independent working style are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a Court Reporter
• Must have own equipment and be able to transport/setup
• Strong attention to detail and deadline orientation
• Ability to pass security screening for access to government buildings
• Excellent English language skills and communication abilities
• Proficiency with court reporting technology and systems
• NCRA/AAERT/NVRA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Take down proceedings using machine shorthand, voice, or digital capture
• Capture verbatim records of courts, meetings, depositions, and hearings
• Administer oaths and participate in depositions and hearings
• Transport, set up, and operate recording equipment
• Prepare assignments including worksheets and case information review
• Ensure exhibits are secured and files stored/uploaded after proceedings
• Maintain reports and logs and respond to communications
• Represent NR&GCo professionally in all proceedings and interactions
• Interact with high-level clients (Federal/State Govt, Private Sector)
