Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is seeking a Contract Coordinator at River Street Schools and Programs in Windsor, CT. The role focuses on administrative, project management, and compliance tasks, handling PPT meetings, IEP development, and CT-SEDS records with confidentiality and accuracy.
You will serve as liaison among RSS, LEAs, families, and service providers, ensuring timely communication and coordination across special education services and contract billing.
Since 1966, the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) has been dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective educational programs and services to meet the diverse needs of children and adults in Greater Hartford. Serving 33 member districts and reaching additional communities statewide, CREC supports approximately 12,000 students annually through more than 120 educational programs. Our offerings include professional learning and coaching for educators, specialized programming for students with diverse needs, and PreK-12 education across 16 interdistrict magnet schools. Additionally, CREC provides school construction, operations, and cooperative business services, while also delivering programs that help adults build real, job-ready skills.
The Contract Coordinator provides administrative, project management, and operational support to River Street Schools and Programs (RSS), overseeing and coordinating the administrative and compliance functions associated with PPT meetings, IEP development, and CT-SEDS documentation management. The position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of special education records and processes while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and district requirements.
Serving as the primary point of contact and liaison between RSS, local education agencies, families, and service providers, the coordinator facilitates communication, resolves procedural issues, and supports the effective implementation of special education services. The position exercises independent judgment in managing confidential information, coordinating competing priorities, monitoring regulatory timelines, and supporting continuous improvement of systems and processes critical to delivering special education programming.
