Job summary

Avantpage is seeking a contract and compliance specialist to support daily operations within Compliance & Legal, focusing on Business Development. You will review commercial documentation, translate requirements into practical guidance, and track obligations.

You will collaborate with Business Development, Sales and other teams to understand contractual requirements, manage the lifecycle from review to signature, and maintain accurate contract records while safeguarding confidential information.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract analysis and compliance in a corporate B2B environment.
• Experience supporting U.S. clients in contract or compliance capacity.
• Advanced English and fluent Spanish with clear written and spoken communication.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to manage concurrent requests, organize documentation and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative approach supporting internal clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review B2B contracts for clients, vendors and partners, including NDAs, onboarding materials, insurance documents and COIs.
• Identify obligations and risks; prepare summaries, risk matrices, checklists and recommendations.
• Translate contract requirements into practical guidance for internal teams (BD, Sales, etc.).
• Support the contract lifecycle from review through signature and track post-execution obligations.
• Maintain accurate contract records and document versions for retention and audit readiness.
• Assist with vendor and partner due diligence by gathering documentation and flagging items.
• Track and prioritize requests in Jira or similar tools; keep stakeholders updated on progress.
• Escalate complex or high-risk matters to Compliance & Legal and follow review processes.
• Help improve checklists, workflows, and responsibly use automation and AI tools.

Job Overview

Support daily contract and compliance operations, with a focus on Business Development. You will review commercial documentation, translate requirements into practical guidance, and track obligations. This individual contributor role works under direct supervision within Compliance & Legal, with frequent guidance during onboarding and increasing autonomy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review B2B contracts for clients, vendors and partners, including NDAs, demo agreements, onboarding materials, insurance documentation and certificates of insurance (COIs).
• Identify contractual obligations and potential risks; prepare clear summaries, risk matrices, checklists and recommendations for review.
• Help Business Development, Sales and other internal teams understand contractual requirements and next steps in clear, practical language.
• Support the contract lifecycle, coordinating documentation and follow-up actions through review and signature, and tracking obligations after execution.
• Maintain accurate contract records and document versions, supporting record retention and audit preparation.
• Assist with vendor and partner due diligence and compliance reviews by gathering documentation and flagging items requiring further assessment.
• Track and prioritize requests in Jira or a similar tool, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, dependencies and timelines.
• Escalate complex, sensitive or higher-risk matters to Compliance & Legal and follow established review and approval processes.
• Help improve checklists and workflows. Use approved automation and AI tools responsibly, protecting confidential information and validating outputs.

Skills and Qualifications

• Practical experience in contract analysis, compliance or a similar role within a corporate B2B environment.
• Experience working with U.S. contracts or supporting U.S. clients in a contract or compliance capacity.
• Advanced English and fluent Spanish, with the ability to review documents and communicate clearly in both languages.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
• The ability to manage concurrent requests, organize documentation and follow through on deadlines.
• A collaborative approach to supporting internal clients, balancing urgency with accuracy and responding promptly during agreed working hours.

Preferred qualifications

• A university degree in Law.
• Experience in healthcare, another regulated industry, or technology.
• Experience in a medium or large company, or a consulting firm, handling a high volume of clients and requests.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools for managing requests and priorities.
