Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Buyer for a contract position in Addison, TX, to manage procurement and supplier relationships for a manufacturing partner. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a contract duration of 1–2 months.

The ideal candidate will handle PO issuance, supplier evaluation, and delivery coordination while leveraging ERP and D365 systems. Strong analytics and communication skills are required for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• ERP systems.
• Purchase orders and inventory management.
• Machines and parts used in metal fabrication.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers to procure materials at the lowest total cost while meeting quality, reliability, and delivery requirements
• Analyze supplier quotations, select vendors, enter purchase orders, and coordinate delivery schedules
• Monitor open purchase orders and proactively expedite deliveries as needed
• Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and performance issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal customers and supplier partners
• Analyze data and prepare reports; provide recommendations related to inventory levels, safety stock, and forecast consumption
