Job summary

Cheesecake Labs invites a Blockchain Engineer (Contractor) to help build and integrate production-grade blockchain services for US and European clients.

This engagement is project-based, paid hourly in USD, and operates on a hybrid model with four office days per week in Austin, Texas. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable backend solutions and participate in dynamic client engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience building or integrating blockchain infrastructure in production environments.
• Understand Layer-1 blockchain mechanics: transaction lifecycle, confirmations, finality, forks, reorgs, and event propagation.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve blockchain infrastructure services powering production-grade digital asset platforms.
• Collaborate with team to define what should be built.
• Integrate backend systems with Layer-1 blockchains for reliability and scalability.
• Create services: blockchain indexers, event processors, chain APIs, wallets, pipelines.
• Design blockchain workflows for transaction execution, monitoring, reconciliation, failure recovery.
• Balance scalability, security, observability, and maintainability with business priorities.
• Work with international clients to shape secure, critical blockchain solutions.
