Job summary

OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation seeks Contract Investigators to perform background investigations for DHS and intelligence community. Positions are on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours and require local residence in Macon, GA with travel within a 30–50 mile radius and willingness for TDY.

Candidates must have federal background investigation experience, FIS exposure, reliable vehicle, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of specialized Federal Background investigative experience within the last 5 years.
Must have some FIS experience.
Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
Willing to travel up to 30–50 miles as needed.
Pass background checks and required training.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-person, one-on-one interviews to obtain factual information about background and character.
Obtain information from personal and record sources to produce a comprehensive report.
Travel within geographic area to conduct investigations at various locations.
Travel in and around assigned location as needed.
Engage with managers and government representatives to maintain relationships.
Write reports and maintain professional demeanor in all situations.
Workload based on case availability in the area.
Occasional temporary duty assignments across the country may be required.
