Job summary

FSA Federal is seeking a Law Clerk (Contract Attorney) in New York to support the USAO. The role involves assisting attorneys in the litigation process, reviewing paralegal work, and drafting motions and briefs. Strong legal writing and organizational skills are essential.

Candidates must have a law degree or be an ABA-accredited law student with at least one year completed, and be prepared for a rigorous, mission-driven environment. U.S. citizenship and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Law degree or currently a student at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed.
• Experience conducting legal research using various research tools and law library resources.
• Excellent communication skills, including legal writing.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Experience with MS Office suite and databases.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, assists attorneys with the litigation process.
• Reviews work of paralegals and clerks.
• Prepares documents related to litigation, including motions and briefs.
• Screens documents for privilege.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
