The Contract Associate provides professional administrative, procurement, and contract management support for the University's capital construction program. This role coordinates procurement and contract administration activities for capital improvement projects funded through the State University Construction Fund (SUCF), the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), and other capital funding sources. Key responsibilities include supporting the planning, procurement, execution, monitoring, and closeout of capital construction projects by maintaining comprehensive project documentation, coordinating contract administration processes, and ensuring compliance with SUNY, New York State, and University policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
The Contract Associate serves as a liaison between Procurement Services, Capital Planning & Construction, Project Managers, Consultants, Contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely contract processing, effective communication, and efficient project delivery. This position is dedicated exclusively to supporting the University's capital construction program. Responsibilities focus on capital project administration and do not include routine facilities maintenance, operations, or other core operational functions. The position is designed to meet SUNY eligibility requirements for capital-funded staffing in accordance with applicable University and State procedures.
