Job summary

SoTalent is seeking a Contract & Business Analyst to support its reinsurance strategy and operations across multiple product lines. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with 7+ years relevant experience.
• 5+ years experience in life/health/annuity insurance industry.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support reinsurance activities across business, operational, financial and legal functions.
• Draft, review and coordinate agreements, amendments and related documentation.
• Coordinate communications with external partners and internal stakeholders to support timely contract execution.
• Conduct business analysis, including market/competitor research, counterparty diligence and trend analysis.
• Prepare reporting and insights for senior management.
• Support compliance, audit, risk and cybersecurity requests by gathering information and preparing materials.
• Maintain templates, process documentation, trackers and BAU materials.
• Assist with RFP processes by organizing information and documenting key decisions.
• Partner with reinsurance administration teams to communicate contract updates and operational changes.
• Monitor recurring contractual, governance and reporting obligations to ensure timely completion.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and documentation and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI tools to support contract analysis, business analysis, requirements gathering and data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information and translate findings into practical business insights.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of reinsurance experience.
• 2+ years of contract drafting experience.
• Experience with contract negotiation.
• Experience using AI tools and technologies for contract analysis, business analysis, process improvement and data-driven decision-making.
• Paralegal, document management or related qualifications are advantageous.
