Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is seeking a part-time Contract Administrator III to review contracts for risk and accuracy, coordinating with the Controller and procurement teams, and ensuring proper funding data. This part-time position is anticipated to work 20 hours per week
New employees to the State will be paid biweekly. There are 26 biweekly pay periods in a year.

The Contract Administrator III works in The Colorado Department of Transportation's (CDOT's) Division of Accounting and Finance, Center for Accounting. The Center for Accounting ensures that all financial related transactions for CDOT are recorded in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards, and all State and Federal rules and regulations. The Center also manages contract operations at CDOT via a delegated agreement with the Office of the State Controller (OSC)
This position reviews contracts in accordance with OSC guidelines and contract laws to determine risk factors and ensures that contracts are accurate and complete; serves as a liaison to communicate between the CDOT Controller, the Attorney General's office, the Contracting Unit of the Office of State Controller, and CDOT employees to ensure that proper funding and data are provided for the accuracy of processing contracts.
The Contract Administrator provides backup contract review as needed for engineering contracts and their modifications contracts, CDOT's Center for Procurement and Contracting Services (CPCS) contracts and their modifications, state building contracts, RUSH contracts and for all high-risk contracts, through the OnBase workflow within the CDOT Controller’s contract review and approval process.
The position creates Docusign envelopes for electronic signatures, uploading the executed contracts in Suppliers Resource Management (SRM), releasing the outline agreements and purchase orders in SRM related to the executed contracts and uploading the executed contracts to the relevant parties and updating the effective and expiration dates on the SAP Financial Records when the contracting documents are executed.
