Universal Health Services, headquartered in King of Prussia, PA, seeks a Contract Administrator to support IPM and the Managed Care team. You will review payer agreements, maintain contract metadata, and work with Revenue Cycle to resolve contract issues across 13 markets.
Responsibilities include maintaining contract files, coordinating signatures, and ensuring contracts become effective only after full execution. Minimal travel may be required.
The Contract Administrator:
Assists the UHS Managed Care/Payer Relations team in meeting UHS Managed Care business objectives in coordination with external and internal stakeholders. Supports all UHS Physician Operations' markets under Independence Physician Management (IPM). Analyzes language and rates of IPM Managed Care payer agreements, performs contract and rate maintenance utilizing IPM's SharePoint database as well as the DashboardMD database and other industry standard fee schedule data analytics. Works with the IPM Revenue Cycle team to assist with inquiries and resolve payer contract performance issues. While providing other IPM contracting duties as assigned, will help support the Director of Managed Care, Regional Director/Manager of Payer Strategies including special projects
Maintain IPM Managed Care SharePoint site, including requests for access to site.
Enter and maintain contract files of existing and new IPM contracts to ensure all SharePoint data is always current for documents, analytic tools and other supporting files.
Ensure contract metadata is accurate, complete and the current executed version is available.
Serves as first point of contact to work closely with the IPM Revenue Cycle team, IPM Market Managers, and other internal departments, as necessary, to resolve contractual/payer issues, communicate changes to payer fee schedule/contract terms, policy updates and other contract related matters across IPM 13 markets located in FL, SC, TX, OK, NV, CA, and DC.
Research discrepancies between contractual terms and operational/payments practices. Assist with coordinating resolution among providers, health plans, CBO and internal departments.
Monitoring of key payer bulletins for physician contract "Policy & Procedures" compliance.
Coordinates the internal signature process for all IPM contractual and supporting documents with Director of Managed Care, Regional Directors, Negotiators, Credentialing and other parties.
Verify key information such as provider/entity names, effective dates, locations, TIN(s), and NPI(s). Identify discrepancies or missing information and correct/escalate appropriately.
Prepare, Route and track all IPM Fee for Service, Value Base Compensation and Delegated Credentialing contracts for summary review, signature, receiving of fully executed and contract notification to IPM Partners that communicate changes in reimbursement, participation, location, products or other material changes.
Confirm that contracts are fully executed before they are considered effective.
Attend and Participate in all IPM Market Transition and Acquisition/Due Diligence Calls. Serves as Payer Strategies team representative. Ensure all Payer Strategies tasks are executed timely. Engage and communicate market updates across IPM Markets, Payer Strategies' Director of Managed Care and Regional Directors.
Support Director of Managed Care, Regional Director/Manager of Payer Strategies including special projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
