Job Description:

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance withapproved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures.
  
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments andexaminations of residents.
  
• Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions, andnotifies supervisor, physician and family of resident’s condition and reactionto drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
  
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs todetect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
  
• Assigns duties and coordinates nursing services on the resident unit toensure resident needs are met in accordance with instructions of Physician,federal and state regulations and facility procedures.
  
• Consults with Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretationof facility policies to insure resident needs are met.
  
• Report all complaints or unusual problems to supervisor. Assist withcompletion of facility complaint report.
  
• Participates in orientation and training and evaluating of nursingpersonnel.
