Job summary

Kane County's Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Coordinator supports HMIS and CoC activities through data coordination, reporting, and compliance tracking. You will monitor program requirements, deadlines, and documentation for HUD reporting and the annual CoC funding process.

Title Continuum of Care (COC) Program Coordinator

The COC Program Coordinator supports Kane County's Continuum of Care and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) through coordination of data, reporting, compliance tracking, and administrative activities. Responsibilities include monitoring established program requirements and deadlines; coordinating information and documentation for HUD reporting and the annual CoC funding competition; supporting Point-in-Time and Housing Inventory Count activities; conducting HMIS data-quality reviews; maintaining required program records and agreements; and working with partner agencies to support accurate, timely, and compliant CoC and HMIS activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Services, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience as approved by Human Resources.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with human services programs preferred.
• Experience with programs serving people experiencing homelessness strongly preferred.
• Experience with program coordination, data reporting, grant-supported programs, compliance monitoring, HMIS, or a related function preferred.
• Strong organizational, project-tracking, record-keeping, and time-management skills.
• Ability to collect, review, organize, summarize, and accurately report program data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with partner agencies, stakeholders, staff, and management.
• High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and effectively use HMIS and other program databases and reporting systems.
• National Incident Management System (NIMS)/Incident Command System (ICS) 100 and 700.a certification.
• Valid Illinois driver's license, current certificate of vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation to all assigned work locations.

Reports to: Assistant Director of Planning & Information Management
