Job description

The Continuous Improvement Supervisor leads execution of plant-floor CI initiatives, embedding best practices, reinforcing a CI mindset, and streamlining non-value-added activities. This is a hands‑on, floor‑based role partnering with plant leadership and CI teams on kaizen events, metrics, and root cause problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to site CI strategy and deployment plans, driving action plans against plant KPIs.
• Deploy CI awareness training (5S, waste elimination) and promote best‑practice sharing across shifts.
• Introduce and coach a Visual Performance Management System (VPMS) at the shift and department level.
• Own KPI charting/posting and lead performance reviews on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence.
• Own a structured root‑cause problem‑solving tool, coaching teams on the right CI methodology per problem.
• Lead site‑level CI projects and Kaizen events from scoping through execution, applying Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and simplify/automate data collection.
• Train teams on CI tools and support development of work standards and cost‑savings tracking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years overall work experience, including experience in Continuous Improvement or a closely related operational role (Operations Specialist/Supervisor backgrounds strongly preferred).
• Experience in food manufacturing or a similar equipment‑driven environment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, root cause analysis, and other analytical methods.
• Strong communication, presentation, and diplomatic collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion despite obstacles.
