Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Continuous Improvement Supervisor to lead Lean initiatives and cross-functional projects at our Indiana facility, driving safe, standardized operations and measurable performance improvements.

In this hands-on role, you will partner with safety, quality, engineering, and operations teams to deliver results through data-driven problem solving and robust training programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Operations, or related field).
  • 3–7 years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and process improvement tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support new product introductions and process changes with cross-functional coordination.
  • Develop and manage production training programs and monitor effectiveness.
  • Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, standard work, FMEA, root cause problem solving) and drive waste reduction and productivity improvements.
  • Develop and track performance KPIs and engage with operators and supervisors on the floor.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Support new product introductions and process changes
  • Coordinate cross-functional project execution
  • Track progress, risks, and implementation success
Training & Development
  • Develop and manage production training programs
  • Monitor training completions, verify training effectiveness, and reinforce standard work
Continuous Improvement (Lean)
  • Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, standard work, FMEA, root cause problem solving)
  • Identify process improvements using data and performance metrics
  • Drive waste reduction, productivity, and quality improvements with an eye towards always improving the safe working environment.
  • Facilitate cross-functional improvement efforts and sustain results
Performance & Leadership
  • Develop and track performance KPIs
  • Engage directly with operators and supervisors on the floor
  • Promote a safe work environment via accountability, standardization, and continuous improvement culture
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Operations, or related field)
  • 3–7 years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and process improvement tools
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
