Job summary

Bombardier US Aerostr LLC seeks a Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead Lean initiatives across the manufacturing organization, guiding cross-functional teams to implement Operational Excellence and elevate performance.

You will design solutions, coach teams, develop real-time reporting and scorecards, and influence change with a collaborative leadership style to sustain gains.

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree or diploma in a related field such as Lean Manufacturing, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Past management experience is preferred.
  • 5–10 years of manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrate proven expertise in Lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Strong track record in leading change and influencing others.
  • Demonstrate strength in data systems and proactive real-time reporting/scorecards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage cross-functional teams in deploying our OE (Operational Excellence) initiatives.
  • Develop transformational plans and management approaches aligning with OE objectives.
  • Drive change activities, diagnostics, and improvement plan design with training materials and coaching.
  • Conduct diagnostic/analytical activities to help teams assess and solve issues.
  • Design Lean-based solutions with stakeholders and facilitate improvements.
  • Support local teams in implementing tactical improvement plans and understanding Lean tools.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Lead and engage cross-functional teams in deploying our company-wide initiative: Operational Excellence (OE).

  • Develop transformational plans and management approaches that align with OE objectives and strategies, supporting implementation across the organization.

  • Drive change activities by support current state diagnostics, engaging the team in designing and developing improvement plans, creating and delivering training materials, and coaching teams to ensure knowledge transfer and adherence to standards.

  • Conduct diagnostic and analytical activities to help teams assess current realities and develop solutions through knowledge sharing and skill-building.

  • Design solutions with key stakeholders, facilitating improvements using Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Support local teams in implementing tactical improvement plans and enhancing their understanding of continuous improvement.

  • Provide localized training and coaching on Lean tools and enablers to promote value-added processes.

  • Apply Lean concepts creatively and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills while teaching structured problem-solving techniques.

  • Influence decisions that impact change management and employee engagement with the OE system. A collaborative leadership style is essential to uphold the integrity of OE and support overall business performance.

How to thrive in this role?
