Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. in Newton, IA is seeking a motivated Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive positive change through CI, lean methodologies, and project management.

You will work within manufacturing and industrial engineering to improve morale, quality, efficiency, productivity, and safety across the plant. The role requires hands-on collaboration with plant personnel, development of business cases, and coaching on CI tools.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficient in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational efficiency concepts.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project tracking tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in Kaizen events and improvement initiatives in collaboration with plant personnel.
  • Assist in developing and tracking improvement action plans to ensure progress and accountability.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement practices that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Help maintain tracking tools and metrics to provide project transparency.
  • Assist in the development of business cases for CI projects and initiatives.
  • Support training and coaching efforts on CI tools and methodologies across the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally with plant departments to support CI initiatives and provide updates.
  • Apply basic project management principles to organize tasks, optimize resources, and support productivity improvements.
  • Build relationships with shop floor employees to understand production processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Arcosa Wind Towersis looking for amotivated, results and people-orientedContinuousImprovementSpecialist to aid in driving positive change utilizing project management, CI, and lean methodologies. As the Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will work within elements of the sciences of manufacturing and industrial engineering while keeping continuous improvement fundamentals at the forefront. The right candidate will use effective project management practices and be focused on identifying and implementing solutions to improve employee morale, product quality, efficiency, productivity, and safety performance throughout the plant.

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and cleanliness levels.
Working Conditions:
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

  • Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
