Job description

Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Process Engineer serves as a hands‑on change agent focused on coaching, inspiring and empowering teams to improve how their work is performed and how we deliver value to the clients we serve. Working directly with operations teams, the position identifies opportunities for practical improvements that strengthen performance across operations and the broader supply chain.

Drawing on a strong foundation in operational excellence and structured problem solving, the Continuous Improvement Process Engineer co‑leads targeted improvement initiatives and events (Kaizen), coaches teams in practical problem‑solving methods, and converts everyday operational challenges into sustainable and lasting process improvements.

Partnering side‑by‑side with frontline employees, supervisors, and site operational leaders, the position helps teams move beyond quick fixes and build the capability to solve problems at their root.

Improvement efforts touch every dimension of operational performance—from safety and quality to delivery, productivity, cost, and team engagement. Success comes from combining hands‑on operational involvement with disciplined thinking and practical implementation, turning improvement ideas into lasting changes that become part of how the organization operates every day.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate operational improvement initiatives, including targeted activities such as Kaizen events and other focused problem‑solving workshops
  • Partner with site leadership and operations teams to identify operational constraints and strategic improvement opportunities
  • Coach teams in structured problem solving, promoting the effective use of tools such as A3, 8D, DMAIC, 5‑Why, and other root cause analysis frameworks
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to translate improvement ideas into scalable best practices through updates to process documentation and change management standards
  • Champion the use of SQDIP boards, Gemba walks, and other visual management practices to drive measurable operational outcomes
  • Monitor, validate, and sustain improvement results through follow‑up, standardization, and performance tracking
  • Strengthen continuous improvement capability within operations teams through hands‑on coaching and practical engagement
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and proactive problem solving at all levels of the organization
  • Follow and maintain all company safety, compliance, and workplace standards including 5S guidelines
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support safe, efficient, and high‑performing operations, any additional tasks that may be assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean, and goal‑oriented work environment

  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both frontline teams and leadership
