Job summary

CPS, Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive process optimization across a Nashville manufacturing facility.

You will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, build scalable production systems, and influence site culture through hands-on problem solving. You will partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain to reduce downtime, waste, and drive cost savings while mentoring personnel in Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Lean tools and Six Sigma in manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to analyze production data and drive efficiency improvements.
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives with minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide operational excellence initiatives to boost safety, quality, efficiency and cost.
• Facilitate Lean tools (value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, DMAIC, Gemba walks).
• Implement standard work, visual management, daily routines and KPI dashboards.
• Analyze production data to identify chronic loss drivers and optimize line performance.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain to reduce downtime and waste.
• Train and mentor site personnel in Lean and structured problem-solving.
• Apply root cause analysis to close performance gaps and manage upgrades.
• Report outcomes, savings and updates to site leadership.

The Continuous Improvement Manager leads process optimization, efficiency improvements, and waste reduction across the manufacturing facility. Using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem-solving, this hands-on role builds scalable, cost-effective production systems and influences site culture without initial direct reports.
