Position Summary

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager is responsible for embedding a culture of continuous improvement across Calbee America. This role drives initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while aligning with company strategies and customer needs. The CI Manager leads projects, applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and partners with leaders across all functions to deliver sustainable results.

Essential Functions
Continuous Improvement Operations
  • Mentor and train team members in CI principles and methodologies.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other tools to optimize workflows.
  • Ensure CI initiatives align with organizational goals and customer expectations.
  • Use data analytics to measure performance and track improvement impact.
  • Partner across departments to streamline and standardize processes.
  • Lead change management efforts to support adoption of new processes.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and measurable outcomes.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and structured problem-solving.
  • Optimize resources (time, personnel, tools) to achieve CI objectives.
  • Document and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability within CI teams.
Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and food safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with process changes.
  • Deliver training programs on CI tools and methodologies.
Other Responsibilities
  • Provide cross-functional support as needed.
  • Uphold company policies, ethical standards, and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or related role.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Analytical and data-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
  • Skilled in change management, strategic planning, and project execution.
  • Proficiency with CI and project management tools; familiarity with data visualization/analytics software (e.g., RedZone).
  • Certifications preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, Certified Change Management Professional, PMP.
