Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel has been exclusively engaged by an established industrial manufacturer to identify a Continuous Improvement Manager for its Gadsden, Alabama facility.

This hands-on leadership role requires driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, efficiency and throughput while building a sustainable Lean culture across the operation. The on-site position resides in Gadsden, Alabama.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in Continuous Improvement.
• Hands-on CI leadership in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Daily Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S, Kanban, TPM, SMED and waste reduction.
• Proven ability to lead change and engage across all levels of a manufacturing organization.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to turn opportunities into measurable results.
• Strong communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Business, Operations or related discipline; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence and CI strategies tied to plant KPIs.
• Facilitate data-driven Kaizen events to identify constraints, eliminate waste and deliver sustainable improvements.
• Develop and execute improvement plans with clear ownership, timelines and measurable results.
• Build and strengthen a Lean culture throughout the facility, engaging employees from the shop floor through plant leadership.
• Develop tools and metrics supporting improvements in efficiency, throughput, capacity and manufacturing cost.
• Develop business cases supporting improvement projects and capital initiatives.
• Teach and coach Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools throughout the organization.
• Support equipment feasibility studies and implementation of capital projects.
• Partner closely with plant leadership to drive change, accountability and sustained operating improvements.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an accomplished Continuous Improvement professional who enjoys working directly with plant leadership and employees to improve performance and build a sustainable Lean culture. The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead initiatives designed to deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, efficiency and throughput while driving engagement throughout the operation.

Compensation

$110,000-$120,000 base salary + 10% annual incentive opportunity
