The Fortive Business System (FBS) guides our culture and performance at Fortive/Censis, driving continuous improvement and maintaining our competitive edge. This role is key in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and positioning Censis as an industry leader in productivity and quality. Responsibilities include driving strategic improvements, enhancing business processes, and collaborating with leadership to achieve goals and KPIs. Additionally, the role involves improving customer productivity and quality using lean principles.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and build the FBS culture within Censis, through regular communication, coaching, training, and business support.
  • Assist Censis Leadership in developing their FBS roadmap including:
  • Education on how to apply the FBS tools at Gemba to drive sustainable improvement in results
  • Provide coaching to the team on how to achieve their strategic plans
  • Support in development and lead management of effective Kaizen funnels
  • Help identify areas where there is an opportunity for team development through Champion status or Ignite programs
  • Participate in Policy Deployment, Operations Review and Daily Management reviews to provide feedback and engagement to improve the quality and results.
  • Demonstrate FBS through facilitation of Kaizen at Gemba, driving continuous improvement and building FBS capability within Censis.
  • Ensure successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process:
  • Planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to Policy Deployment, Business Plan and Daily Management
  • Kaizen execution including charters, pre-work, event and report outs
  • Sustainment of Kaizens
  • Support Fortive on the evolution of the FBS tools (through the FBS Office). Provide feedback based on personal experience, best practices, and experience/results from processes/tools implemented at Censis.
  • Continued focus on developing personal capability by achieving champion status on minimum of one tool, benchmarking other Operating Companies at Fortive to implement at Censis and engage with the FBS Office (FBSO) as necessary.
  • Leverage AI in our business processes to help accelerate impact and improve efficiency.
  • Engage with customers to help provide recommendations on how to improve their instrument reprocessing workflow including problem solving, value stream mapping and voice of the customer.

Skills

  • Facilitation Skills – must be able to facilitate large and small groups in the achievement of a desired outcome. Must be able to handle situations that require strong problem solving to map a path forward when the situation is complex, requires crucial conversations, or when the group is stuck and unable to make progress.
  • Teamwork - must be able to lead a team(s) from multiple disciplines, as well as functions (when needed) to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Ability to coach and influence others - must be able to inform, convince, and persuade others to action on key initiatives. Must be comfortable operating in environments where the actions are not owned by the FBSL but are driving through the follow-through and sustainment of those in the line roles.
  • Customer Obsessed – must be able to have empathy for customers and ability to be curious on customer challenges. Coach teams through problem solving to elevate Censis’ support and future product roadmaps.
  • Results orientation - must deliver results and be able to maintain focus on achieving the results.
  • Technical excellence - must possess the subject matter skills necessary to be seen as credible in FBS by peers and managers. Must have had sufficient exposure and experience to be able to consult, facilitate, and guide improvement at Censis.
  • Communication —must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of using Lean/Six Sigma at scale. Cross-functional career experiences preferred. Career experience(s) in software/ digital is a plus.
  • BS or BA required, MBA preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
