Job summary

Johnstech in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Operations Continuous Improvement Coordinator to serve as the primary contact for facility-related needs and safety committee activities while performing maintenance and improvement work.

You will coordinate facility and machine shop operations, preventive maintenance, and EHS initiatives, working closely with upper management as the director's right-hand. The role emphasizes challenging the status quo and driving process upgrades.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of facilities, maintenance or related experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve workplace organization, safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.
• Gather process knowledge with Gemba walks and implement improvement initiatives.
• Assist with corrective and preventive action activities resulting from non-conformances.
• Coordinate facility-related work requests and external contractors.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and records.
• Coordinate Safety Committee activities and training.
