We are immediately hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager (Engineering) in Indianapolis, IN (REMOTE) for our Supply Chain Solutions division. Compensation and Work Arrangement
- Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
- Annual Salary Pay: $115,000 - $125,000 per year based on experience
- Bonus: 20% Annually
- Schedule: Shift 1st : Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00 pm (flexible)
- Travel: 50%-75% (2-3 customer locations)
- REMOTE: EST/CST time zones preferred

Essential Functions
- Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals. Lead employment decisions (hire, promote, coach, development) and manage performance. Manages multiple and complex Supply Chain projects. Regularly interacts with Senior Management and/or customer(s).
- Lead the development and execution of strategy, scorecarding and key performance indicator action plans. Work with Operational leadership to assess critical site and business needs. Develop and implement a thorough continuous improvement plan to address top business needs; drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth. Provide regular data-driven reports on progress against performance and objectives.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring; translate Ryder Business System concepts to local situations; help teams develop understanding and application of tools for sustainable improvements. Coach owners to use Engineering, Data Analysis and Lean methods to achieve operational excellence. Support start-ups, retrofits and expansions including pricing inputs, go-live and steady-state certifications.
- Develop advanced competency in engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards; ensure methodologies/tools are utilized to improve distribution and/or transportation operations.
- Facilitate Value Stream Maps & Kaizen Events; identify gaps and lead CI team to implement improvements. Track progress and sustainment of transformational activities across accounts; guide lean implementations across accounts.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the QMS based on established standards.
- Implement and monitor a standardized corrective action system.
- Support regulatory compliance and certification requirements.
- Oversee Quality Assurance for startups or expansions; oversee internal auditing for compliance.

- Warehouse design tools (CAD, Slot3D), WMS and labor systems; automation knowledge
- Knowledge of transportation and warehouse operations; experience with HRM systems (e.g., Workday) and onboarding
- Relevant certifications: APICS, CPMP, ISO/QMS considered a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management required; preference for Industrial Engineering or SCM
- Master's degree preferred
- Nine (9) years or more in distribution, warehousing/manufacturing, transportation, or supply chain logistics
- Evidence of leadership in CI/engineering roles; strong data analytics and Lean experience
