Syensqo SA is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead and support manufacturing processes, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost. The role emphasises process optimisation and gross margin improvements, with a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience preferred.

The candidate will provide direct engineering support to production, establish process metrics, uphold safety obligations, and collaborate with quality and process teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct engineering support to production and lead the technical role.
  • Establish and maintain control of process metrics (cost, waste, performance).
  • Ensure process safety obligations are met.
  • Collaborate with quality, process engineers and specialists on issues.
  • Maintain and update control documents for production.
  • Review machine parameter data and assist in resolving issues.
  • Lead and assist on process and equipment improvement projects.

We are looking for:

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to work within the Continuous Improvement department. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and support, ensuring that currently defined manufacturing processes meet or exceed the teams target in terms of safety, quality, productivity and cost. They will also be expected to lead incremental improvement initiatives to optimise existing processes with focus on gross margin optimisation. Whilst the successful candidate would ideally have a minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing, recent graduates and applicants with transferable skills who feel they meet the requirements of the job description will be considered.

  • Providing direct engineering support to production and plays lead technical role
  • Establish and maintain control of process metrics such as cost, waste and performance data
  • Ensures process safety obligations are met
  • Provides technical support and collaborates with quality engineers, process engineers and process specialists on quality and production issues
  • Maintain, develop and update control documents required for production
  • Reviewing verification of machine parameters (VMP) data and assisting in resolution of machine issues
  • Leading and assisting on process and equipment improvement projects

You will bring:
  • Bachelors of Sciences Engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred)
  • At least two years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical or complex manufacturing processes
  • Decision making abilities, courage and influence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of leading a team to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Appreciation for developing and tracking metrics / performance indicators
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend technical documents in English
  • Experience with SAP (preferred)

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $98,720 - 123,400 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • Relocation assistance may be offered dependent on candidate's current location
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
