Job summary

F&S Fresh Foods, headquartered in Vineland, NJ, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to lead CI projects from opportunity through sustainment on the production floor. You will work with floor associates to drive and sustain operational improvements, turning hypotheses into validated results and fostering daily improvement habits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong data-driven decision making and ability to validate savings with Finance.
• Hands-on on-floor leadership with daily improvement habits.
• Knowledge of Lean/CI tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and workflow analyses to identify labor and process inefficiencies.
• Validate savings with Finance and plant leadership and establish baselines.
• Implement line balancing, staffing adjustments, standard work, and visual controls.
• Drive bottom-up engagement and accountability with plant teams.
• Lead Kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement.
• Coach teams on Lean/CI tools and root cause problem solving.
• Document and share successful implementations for network-wide replication.

What’s the Role

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is a hands-on floor execution leader who owns CI project delivery end-to-end — from opportunity identification and financial validation, through plant-level buy-in and implementation, to verified sustained results. This role matters because it turns process improvement from a one-time event into a lasting discipline, protecting F&S’s margins while strengthening the teams who run our plants every day. This is a hands‑on role with a strong presence on the production floor, balanced with time spent on analysis, planning, and project execution, and it works closely with floor associates to drive and sustain operational improvements. The ideal candidate is a floor‑first executor who treats every change as a hypothesis to be tested and validated with data, builds daily improvement habits in frontline leaders, and closes out projects with discipline rather than declaring victory too soon.

What You’ll Own

• Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to identify labor and process inefficiencies and quantify savings opportunities
• Confirm savings logic with Finance and plant leadership and establish performance baselines prior to launch
• Implement line balancing, staffing adjustments, standard work, and visual controls, monitoring early‑stage performance daily
• Align plant managers, supervisors, leads, and operators to drive bottom‑up engagement and accountability
• Validate post‑implementation performance through 60–90 day sustainment audits before closing projects
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement
• Coach teams on Lean/CI tools including Fishbone Diagrams, 5‑Why Analysis, Line Balancing, Takt Time Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis
• Document and share successful implementations so wins replicate across the network

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving through production areas
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Regular exposure to cold food manufacturing environments (approximately 36°F–40°F in refrigerated areas)
• PPE and GMP compliance required at all facilities
• Moderate noise levels; hearing protection provided where required
