This position is for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator at our facility in Charlotte, NC.

Your Role
  • Identify Continuous Improvement needs, determine scope of each effort/project, assure execution, and conduct effectiveness reviews in coordination with Department Managers
  • Provide leadership for Continuous Improvement initiatives for the facility, including use of Problem Solving and Lean Manufacturing tools and methods
  • Review and analyze production data to determine where high waste areas exist in the production process.
  • Lead, and/or participate in both proactive and reactive problem-solving sessions
  • Perform routine floor audits, investigating high waste jobs and/or production processes.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) exercises with plant personnel.
  • Develop processes based on RCA that will drive waste reduction.
  • Work with departments to identify, develop, execute, and maintain results of cost reduction initiatives
  • Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.
  • Support training of new systems and procedures where appropriate.
  • Monitor effectiveness of implemented processes and track cost savings.
  • Promote positive change for improvement based on data analysis
  • Must be able to utilize time management & multi-tasking skills to keep up with the demands of coordinating all the process improvement activities
  • Safety Responsibility:
    • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures with a goal of no injuries/accidents.
    • Responsible for assisting in achieving plant wide safety goals.
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and conducting a daily 5S audit of work area.
    • Report all unsafe activities immediately to supervisor or human resources.
Your Profile

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of RCA required.
  • Data analysis through Power BI, Excel, or similar strongly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and public communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Office.
  • Bachelors in Industrial Engineering or related field, or sufficient industry experience preferred.

  • Project management skills
  • Must have working knowledge of quality systems ISO; statistical process control; continuous improvement; cGMP’s.
  • Proven success with problem analysis, decision making and statistical analysis.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with database technology.
