Continuous Improvement Coaching Coordinator

Supervisor: Designated District Directors in collaboration with Building Principals.

Job Summary

The Continuous Improvement Coaching Coordinator position reports to their assigned District Director in collaboration with Building Principals as assigned. This position will provide coaching at multiple levels of the organization to include individual, Professional Learning Community (PLC) team, Building Impact Team, and beyond. The Coordinator will support an array of school improvement efforts, including support and professional learning of instructional practices, responsive learning environment practices, and curriculum implementation to improve student outcomes.

Essential Functions
  • Establish connections between established expectations for professional practice in the design, implementation, assessment, and study of the impact of instruction on student outcomes, especially within the core curriculum.
  • Support educators in classroom goal‑setting, assessment, and data analysis processes of student outcomes.
  • Design and deliver quality organized, individual and/or group professional development opportunities to educators.
  • Coach and model exemplary established classroom practices, including the use of instructional technology, that are aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Assist with development of district curriculum, instruction and assessments.
  • Model current best practices in core standards, supportive classroom climates, and social‑emotional learning in diverse and equitable environments using the Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Manage time and schedule flexibly to maximize educators' schedules and student learning.
  • Participate in training throughout the school year to continuously support district continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct and monitor the impact of student centered coaching rounds.
  • Establish positive working relationships with individual educators and teams to provide job embedded support that enhances delivery of the core curriculum and learning environment.
  • Support Building Impact Teams through all phases of the continuous improvement cycle.
  • Coach Building Impact Team members to guide the facilitation of Professional Learning Communities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Directors in collaboration with Building Principals.
Work Environment and Physical Activity
  • Ability to regularly talk, see, and hear.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, walk, stand, sit, and use your hands for fine manipulation during the normal performance of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or move up to twenty‑five (25) pounds.
  • Ability to travel from building to building as needed.
  • Be able to flex time as necessary to meet with educators and teams.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish).
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience (preferred).
  • Participation in Continuous Improvement efforts and demonstrated success with application of Continuous Improvement methodology in classroom practice.

  • Experience with integration of instructional technology to enhance delivery and learning.
  • Demonstrated use of strategies for ensuring equitable practices in a diverse learning environment.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with a record of building relationships that foster collegial trust, promote teacher efficacy, aspire to high expectations and accountability, and maintain a common instructional focus as an effective team member.
Terms of Employment

The work year for this position is 191 days. Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule. The District offers excellent fringe benefits, including life, health, and dental insurance.
