Job summary

Community Memorial Health System is seeking a Unit Coordinator in California to support nursing leadership in daily unit staffing and accurate medical record documentation. You will help maintain timely reporting and professional data entry in a hospital setting.

The role requires a High School diploma, basic medical terminology, English proficiency, and CPR certification. Preferred CNA certification and Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Possess basic computer skills and knowledge of word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Charge Nurse in daily unit staffing and documentation.
• Record information in the medical records accurately and timely.
• Ensure unit reporting and documentation are completed professionally.

Compensation

Salary Range: $24.50 - $26.00 per hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Position Overview

The Unit Coordinator position is to assist the Director of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Charge Nurse in their daily duties of unit staffing, recording information in the medical records, and ensure that the unit's reporting and documentation of information be completed in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have a basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
• Possess basic computer skills and knowledge of word processing sofware
• CPR Certification

Preferred
