Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a part-time unit support role on the 8E Medical/Surgical Unit. You will assist patients, families, and colleagues, helping with admissions, transfers, and daily operations on the nursing unit.
Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, you contribute to patient throughput, maintain environment and supplies, and support a culture of safety and quality care. Strong customer service and clerical skills are valued.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The 8E Medical/Surgical Unit: A wide variety of general surgery patients, including: Colorectal, hepatobiliary, thyroid/parathyroid, and vascular trauma.
SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units. Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care. Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent Experience: Three to six months previous related experience Preferred customer service, retail, clerical experience
