Job summary

Harper College seeks a Facilities Project Manager to lead construction and maintenance initiatives across campus. The role pairs strategic planning with hands-on oversight to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery.

You will coordinate with design, engineering, purchasing, and start-up teams, safeguard installations, and drive projects from inception to completion, either in-house or with external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute construction and maintenance/repair projects for Facilities Management at Harper College.
• Work with the Facilities Management Division to determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan and determine cost/time specifics.
• Independently manage and execute project tasks on Facilities Management initiatives.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, purchasing, construction, and start-up teams during project phases.
• Ensure installations meet the needs of the College.
• Independently manage execution with minimal supervision.
• Oversee projects fulfilled in-house or via outside contractors.

ABOUT THETEAM

Facilitates Management Division provides building and groundsservices including but not limited to: Campus ArchitecturalServices, Construction Management, Maintenance, OperationsServices/Shipping and Receiving, Roads and Grounds, Sustainabilityand Utilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role is responsible for planning and executing constructionand maintenance/repair projects for Facilities Management at Harper College.
• Works with the Facilities Management Division to determine theproject scope, develops a preliminary plan and determines projectspecifics such as cost and time of construction, project impact,etc.
• Responsible for managing and executing project tasks on variousFacilities Management initiatives at Harper.
• Works closely with other support and user groups during the design,engineering, purchasing, construction, and start-up phases of theFacilities Management projects.
• Assures installations meet the needs of the College.
• Independently manages the execution and assures the timelycompletion of Facilities Management projects with minimalsupervision.
• Responsible for Facilities Management projects that are bothfulfilled in-house or via an outside contractor.
