Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and dedicated remote content writer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the ELPA21 Language Assessment. This role involves creating curriculum-aligned materials that support Multilingual Learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Writing and Communication:

• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Ability to create clear, engaging, and age-appropriate content for K-12.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace and LMS platforms.
• Familiarity with digital content creation (e.g., slides, videos, interactive tools).

Research and Accuracy:

• Ability to research topics and ensure content is accurate and up-to-date.
• Knowledge of educational standards such as Common Core or other state standards.
• Knowledge of ELPA21.

Creativity and Engagement:

• Create interactive and engaging materials for diverse learners, especially Multilingual Learners.
• Create unique materials without the use of AI or other technology.
• Work well with a team of subject matter experts and editors.
• Open to giving and receiving feedback.
• Apply revisions and apply to future content.

Organization and Professionalism:

• Complete projects and meet deadlines.
• Adapt to changing needs and ensure high-quality work.

Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field.

• Administered ELPA21 Assessment to students (Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, and West Virginia).
